Hide holidays that don't apply where you live

Your holiday calendar shows Islander Day, Louis Riel Day and Nova Scotia Heritage Day, but you live in Ontario.

Why holiday calendars over-share

Built-in and downloaded holiday calendars usually cover a whole country. For Canada, the US, Germany, Australia and many others, that means a long list of regional days, observances and "not a day off" events mixed in with the holidays you actually get.

Two ways to fix it

  1. Fix the calendar you already have. Add your existing holiday calendar to Calendar Corrector. It recognizes holidays for other regions and offers: "18 holidays here don't apply in Ontario. Hide them?"
  2. Or let the app make one. Turn on Holidays where you live when adding a calendar, pick your province, state or region, and choose whether to include optional holidays. Nothing to subscribe to; it's made on your device.

Either way, you can mark the holidays as busy so work scheduling and booking tools treat them as days off.

Calendar Corrector does this for you on iPhone, iPad and Mac. It’s coming soon to the App Store; your first calendar will be free. Learn more
